Help from pro, or relatively knowledgeable fish-keepers/owners?

A ghost shrimp should be perfectly fine. As far as tiny filters, Walmart does carry the Tetra 10i mini i in he tank filter which for tanks up to 10 gallons. Its only about $11 dollars and on sale untill Tuesday. I've run one in a 5 gallon tank and its not too strong fir the that. The other good option is to buy one of walmarts cheap $% air pumps and buy on the hose attachable inside the bowl or tank filter than Penn Plax makes. It's a Bubble Box you have to put filter wool in. Petland Discounts all ways has them in their ads. Part of the reason Bettas average a 2 year longer lifespan in tanks is the benefit of the filter, not just more space. My mother runs the Penn Plax in her large (2 gallon) Betta bowl, and it does not make too much current to both the fish. The outflow can be adjusted down with a 50 cent clamp.
